Meet Our Optometrists

At Eyes at Narangba, our optometrists combine experience, clinical care, and a genuine passion for helping people see and function at their best. We are committed to personalised eye care for every stage of life, from children through to adults with complex visual needs.


Lisa Bakker

Lisa graduated from QUT in 1989 and, after working in a variety of settings, opened Eyes at Narangba with her husband, Ross, in 2003.

Since then, Lisa has continued to build on her clinical skills and deepen her passion for providing thoughtful, patient-centred care. She has a special interest in behavioural and developmental optometry, and enjoys helping patients of all ages achieve more comfortable, effective vision.

Experience and Training

Lisa has completed AICD studies and a Graduate Diploma of Ocular Therapeutics. She became a Fellow of the Australian College of Behavioural Optometry in 2017.

Her professional leadership roles have included:

  • ACBO President from 2025 to present
  • Director of ProVision from 2007 to 2017
  • State Board member of Optometry Australia from 2015 to 2017
  • National Committee member of Optometrists Giving Sight from 2011 to 2015

Lisa has also contributed internationally, helping train eye care nurses in Timor-Leste in 2010 and 2014, and in Vanuatu in 2013.

Professional Interests

Lisa’s areas of interest include:

  • Children’s vision and binocular vision
  • Vision therapy
  • Myopia management
  • Dry eye treatment
  • Foreign body removal and treatment of eye infections
  • Visual rehabilitation support for concussion, mild traumatic brain injury, stroke, nystagmus, and field loss, including the use of coloured lenses where appropriate

Outside the Practice

Lisa enjoys reading, running, sci-fi, and travelling, spending time with spectacular husband, her delightful children and their spouses.


Greg Rowe

Greg has been an optometrist since 1983 and values the wide variety of challenges and learning opportunities that optometry brings.

He is passionate about continuing to grow his knowledge so he can provide high-quality care across full-scope optometry, with particular interest in glaucoma and retinal disease management.

Experience and Training

Greg worked with Greg Smith Optometrist, managing the Sunnybank and Stafford practices, before establishing his own practice in Kallangur in 1987. He successfully ran that practice for 30 years.

From 2017 to 2022, Greg worked across Australia as a locum optometrist, bringing his experience to a wide range of communities and clinical settings. He joined the Eyes at Narangba team in 2022.

Greg is married and has three adult children. His interests include golf, world politics, religion, philosophy, nutrition, and health.
